Gensler is an international architecture and design firm with studios across the world. The Boston office, specifically the Lifestyle & Brand studio in which I was a team member, specialized primarily in hospitality and workplace projects.
I was a part of a small studio creating work for higher education, financial institutions, and other workplace-related projects.
I joined Gensler in 2020, as a Brand Designer.
My main responsibilities were:
The size of Gensler was a learning curve and culture shift from the smaller companies I'd worked for in the past.
Collaborating and working cross-functionally with other studios and teams was incredibly vital to my development as a designer. The ability to call upon team members worldwide was also not something I'd had in the past but one I quickly grew to embrace.
It was very much a culture of asking questions and knowing someone had the answers.
